About Pete's Aquatics

Welcome to Pete’s Aquatics, we’re a locally owned business based in the heart of Nampa, Idaho. I, Pete, am passionate, dedicated, and committed to breeding and selling the healthiest, happiest, tank-bred shrimp and fish, all while promoting ethical and sustainable practices in the aquarium hobby. Breeding animals is often a gross, and unsafe practice; however, we do it differently.

At Pete’s Aquatics, we believe that every fish and shrimp deserves a beautiful and enriching environment. That’s why we don’t use bare-bottom tanks or tanks strictly designed for breeding. Instead, all our aquariums are lushly planted, featuring a variety of live plants, high quality substrate, and carefully maintained ecosystems with lots of hiding places like rocks, wood, and our own custom decor. I want to do my best to mimic the natural habitats of our friends, but I also want to give them a more comfortable and stimulating environment.

As a fairly new business, we’re always expanding and growing our aquatic life to offer a diverse range of species for everyones needs and wants. Our mission is to breed and raise shrimp and fish with the utmost care and attention, so they are healthy and ready to thrive in their new homes.

Whether you’re setting up a new tank, troubleshooting issues in your current one, or considering adding a new creature to your collection, we’re happy to help. We’re always eager to share our knowledge and passion for the hobby — Who doesn’t enjoy talking fish for hours. (we might a little nerdy… Or have an addiction… Or Both.) We love talking about fish and are more than happy to assist you with any questions or issues you may have.

Thank you for visiting Pete’s Aquatics, and we look forward to helping you create a beautiful and thriving fish tank. Feel free to reach out anytime — your aquatic adventure awaits!
