Guides, tools and calculators on this site are for general freshwater aquarium education. You may read, share links to and use the content for personal, non-commercial purposes. Please do not copy the site’s content wholesale, scrape it, or interfere with how the site works.

Aquarium conditions, livestock and products vary. Nothing on this site is veterinary, aquaculture, legal or financial advice. Test your water, follow product labels and get qualified help for serious or unusual problems. See the Disclaimer for more.
3. Content ownership
Original text, photos, graphics and code on this site belong to Pete’s Aquatics. Third-party images, logos and trademarks belong to their owners. You may quote a short excerpt with a link back to the original page. Anything beyond that needs written permission.

If you submit a comment, question or photo, you confirm you have the right to share it, and you allow Pete’s Aquatics to display, edit for length or clarity, and reply to it on this site. Spam, abusive content and personal attacks may be removed.
5. Tools and calculators
Tools such as the TDS Calculator and Aquarium Equipment Finder give estimates and starting points based on the information you enter. Check results against your own test kit and equipment documentation before acting on them.
